A New Home

It has been awhile, but I am now at my new home in Abbeville, LA and I am loving it! I share a room with three other girls so it’s a bit cramped, but I am used to a large family. I live in a trailer with ten other girls and two bathrooms. But it all seems to just work out each day. And I love the girls. There are actually thirteen girls altogether doing intake. The weather here is amazing and I totally love it. Though when I go home for CHRISTmas there had better be snow! I am just so blessed to finally be here. God has made this all possible and if my relationship with Him isn’t the way it is today, it’s just scary to think of such a thing.

I have raised $3,100 of my intake and now only need $400! That is just so close and it’s only September. I am praying each day for those donations to come and I hope that you are praying too!

I am missing home, but I did get to skype my parents and my little brother on Sunday for a few and I got to call my Grandma too! Gotta love Sundays!

Oh and another good thing is that I am surrounded by Doctor Who fans! So I’m sure you can guess what happens on the weekends!

Right now we are doing a lot of book study to make sure we know our faith and can give testimonies properly. And I thought I was done with school?! LOL

Well nearly lunch time so I should sign off, the food is great by the way I tried alligator and loved it. Pardon all the mishaps of spelling and grammar I am not an expert.

God Bless

In one week today I will be on a plane and leaving for Family Missions Company! I can’t believe it’s already here! I’m going to miss my family and my friends:( I’ve been so blessed to have the friends that I know and the people I have met from my Church. Even those I don’t know and were sweet enough to send a donation. I am also blessed to have my all-time friends(you know who you are). Three months. You would think I’m leaving for a hundred years! But that is life, knowing people, getting to love them, and one day having to say goodbye.

Life is not going to be the same once I leave. My daily routine is about to change and it will never be the same. I will be living with a bunch of other girls that I have never met before. And money, it will not always be at my dispense. Same with my phone. Clothing will be different, too. I won’t have much to choose from and will be re-wearing them. Cleaned of course. Though I have heard that other girls share their clothes. Hopefully there is someone as small as me:)

Goodbye Grand Rapids! I will miss you, but you will always be my home town!
